LaVie Unique Water Filtration System

I was NOT compensated in any way for this post. I am posting it because our future, the future of our children and grandchildren, matters to me.

I am always interested in new inventions and this one really has my attention. Any ideas that are going to have a major positive impact on our whole world has my total and complete vote.

Bottled drinking water is preferred by many around the world but it is so much more expensive than tap water. This world spends about a billion dollars for around 200 billion mineral water bottles annually. This is equivalent to 2,000 times the energy required to produce the same volume of tap water. This has become one of the biggest contributors to land and natural water contamination.

A company based in France called Solable has developed LaVie, this is a unique water purification system that can really turn tap water into mineral water naturally using biomimetic technologies. Imagine this folks, turning tap water into mineral water. There are many water filtration systems you can purchase but none of these will assure the filter of harmful elements without reducing the minerals or trace elements in the water.

Solable is a leading provider of water and energy solutions. Today Solable has announced on KickStarter the official launch of its second product, LaVie, on Kickstarter. Solable will begin shipping products in June 2018, With a funding goal of $30,000.

LaVie turns tap water into pure mineral water via a glass bottle. It is then placed in a natural bamboo case for 20 minutes. This patented technology removes chlorine, chloramine, pesticides, chemicals, odors and tastes, but leaves all minerals and trace elements untouched. The process works due to electromagnetic radiation contained in the invisible solar spectrum, the UV-A. Each treatment cycle, the bottle and the liter of water it contains, are completely sterilized, meaning no bacteria or virus can survive. The quality of this process is comparable to commercial natural mineral waters.

Inspired by nature, The LaVie was created to help consumers enjoy pure mineral water in their everyday life, without any filter or add-on products. This does away with the need for plastic bottles. If the problem with the plastic bottles persists, in the year 2050, there could be more plastic bottles in the ocean than fish.

Founded in 2015, Solable was focused on the energy and water business sector. This company holds seven active patents, including one license sold and three patents that have been successfully commercialized. Solable is also the recipient of two CES Innovation Awards in 2017 and 2018 for the Eco-Design/Sustainable Technology category.

Early supporters of the LaVie can purchase this product at an early bird price of $129, this price is half off of the expected MSRP. For more information about Solable’s Kickstarter campaign vist-

  1. I am not familiar with Solable but this all sound quite interesting to me. I'm a big water drinker and prefer it most of the time. We use a filter system installed on our refrigerator. I'll go check out Solable.

  9. I take for granted how easy it is for us to access water. I turn on a tap or open the fridge to get a bottle of water. This filtration system sounds like a way to cut back on the plastic I'm using.

  10. This definitely sounds like a viable solution to a lot of the world's problems re: potable water. I will definitely be looking more closely into the science behind this. Hopefully they will get funded and this gets put on the market.

  12. I try not to buy bottled water as much as I can. I even travel with a reusable water bottle I can refill. The amount of waste we product just from water bottles is a bit insane. La Vie sounds like a great idea for getting in your clean drinking water without the waste.
