MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS T100 Talkabout Radios Make Great Gifts

We received a sample in exchange for a honest an unbiased review.

The Motorola T100 Series from Motorola are two neon blue and pink radios that have a range of up to 16 miles and feature 22 channels.

This is the time of year when families might be camping, they maybe going hunting. It is smarter in these days and times to take safety measures. These devices are a perfect way to stay in touch with each other.

The two colorful radios are compact and simple to use. They are compatible with other FRS/G?RS radios regardless of the brand. It is easy to find an available channel. If your in a mountain valley the connection with reach up to 16 miles. If you are on open water the connection is up to 3 miles and if your in a neighborhood the connection is up to 5 miles. You can set the radios with your own personalized settings. The keypad lock prevents them from being inadvertently changed. Other fractures of the radios are a flashing low battery light alert, one call tone, a talk confirmation tone, a key pad tone and auto squelch.

Inside the box you will find 2 radio units, 2 belt clips and some smaller QuickStart and regulator documentation. The radios will work up to 18 hours. The radios are lightweight and compact, with the battery they only weigh 0.25.

The talk button on the side is big enough for small fingers. There are other buttons that are easily accessible but others can be locked out by holding down the lock button. This is so you can keep the two radios on the same channel and keeps children from changing the channel. If the channels get changed the two devices will stop talking to each other. You can see what channel the radios are on on a little read out screen on the devices.

We took these out in our neighborhood to test them out after going over the instruction guide. These devices are well made and have survived some of the accidental falls they've taken. We love the blue and black color. They are compact and will fit in smaller hands of children. They worked pretty good, with clear sound and no static. You can adjust the loudness of these. They get pretty loud. The kids had fun with them. We also think these would be great at the next amusement park we go to. These are at an affordable price.

  1. My nephews would go nuts for these. Plus, they'd be handy when phones aren't getting a signal.

  3. My kids would love these also - I can see them wandering to the remote corners of the property and still shouting through the radios to speak with one another.

  4. I really like the pink and black ones. The blue and black ones would be great for my nephews up in Kentucky. For me personally though, I refer the walkie talkie app on my phone instead ;)
