A Chatty Bit of an Update

Hello Friends! I hope all the wonderful fathers out there had an extra special day. We celebrated our special guys with a cookout. We recently moved and were not able to do anything more exciting than that. Our time together as a family is always a laughing good time though. My son and his fiance shared some exciting news. They are expecting a baby in December. He is my oldest son, it was emotional for a minute. My baby is going to be a daddy. I'm so proud of the man he has become and he's going to be a great father.

As I mentioned we recently moved from the city to the country. We have talked for years about wanting to live just outside the city. Finally, we found a place that we all love. There is so much space for my grandchildren to run around. I'm absolutely in love with this place and very excited about living here.

Though we are excited about living here there are some things we have to get used to. We are going to have to develop some new habits. One of those things is out here you take care of your own garbage, you tend to your own recyclables. Not that it is hard or anything, I'm just bringing up little things. Such as there is a bit of wildlife out here, we will have to make sure the kids don't leave their snacks out in the yard. It's absolutely nothing hard.

We want to start a garden. I would love to share that process any tips or great web sites I come across. If you all have any tips or suggestions for anything I've got going on I would love to hear them in the comments below.

I plan to bring a few new things here to the blog. Some D.I.Y projects in the house and outside. We have a few floors we will be putting in ourselves. Some backsplash in the kitchen and other decors.

I was also thinking of some blog hauls. I know they do vlog hauls but I thought why not some blog hauls. I am also going to be sharing some videos on our YouTube channel You Tube Channel I am quite shy but I have been working on that.

I would love for you to come along on this new journey. We can talk about new tips old tips and anything in between. I would also like to continue our Missing Monday and some of the crime talk. I feel as mothers, grandmothers, fathers and such we need to keep in the know of these things. We need to discuss certain issues to keep our children safe.

Until next time,

Bree

  1. My dad lives on the other side of the country, so unfortunately we did not have a cookout like we used to. Thanks for posting!

  4. We had our annual Father's day barbecue, it's been going on for as long as I can remember so at least 45 years. And we are 5 generations strong!
