Geffen Baby Ultra Aborbers Plus Reveiw

We have had the opportunity to review cloth diaper inserts from Geffen baby.

Geffen Baby began as a Los Angeles-based textile manufacturing company, who saw a need for more natural baby products. They take a hand in every step of the production process of their products. They manufacture textile that they, themselves use at home. They studied for countless hours about all there is to know about babies and reusable diapers. They decided to improve their fabrics by adding more Hemp to the content, becoming the only fabric in the industry to have 60% Hemp and 40% Organic Cotton, creating a performance fabric that is more durable and absorbent. Geffen has gone above and beyond to improve all aspects of some of the best selling diapers on the market today. They have created the only universal diaper inserts with an absorbency level system that is unique, and designed to fit every babies need.

Geffen is a lover of our planet and they try to be as organic as possible, from manufacturing to their eco friendly packaging. Here in the U.S.A. is where 95% of their products are made, as it eliminates their carbon footprint. Pollution begins at production According to recycling sites that research waste, an estimated 15 billion disposable diapers are used each year in the U.S. alone, its generating over 2.7 million tons of non-biodegradeable waste mostly going to landfills. Most parents/caregivers are not aware that on the packages of disposable diapers, there is instruction to flush solid waste before discarding. Human fecal matter is ending up in landfills where it can leak into groundwater and it could possibly spread disease.

Cloth diapering will avoid pollution, they can be donated and recycled. Disposable diapers contain chemicals that are harmful such as bleach, gels that absorb moisture, perfumes and dyes that irritate your baby's skin. Many health concerns are associated with disposable diapers. They have been linked to developing asthma and other respiratory problems, infertility in boys, and bacterial infections in girls. Furthermore, consumer reports estimates a person could spend $1500-$2000 on disposable diapers before their child is potty trained. An economical choice would be cloth diapers as the cost could be as little as $243-$792 over 2.5 year period, including washing and drying expenses.

We really liked the Geffen inserts. Made with micro fiber terry fabric, they are extremely soft. We have also noticed they absorb so much better than other inserts we have tried. They are super durable. We can double them up at night, not a lot of bulk. They are machine washable, absorbency increases over the first 8 weeks of washing. These inserts definitely have our approval.
