Chicken Soup for the soul, Devotional Stories for Wives,
came along to me at just a perfect moment in my life. I
am of faith and I have always been an avid reader. My
husband and I have a son who has ADHD, he turned 13
this year. It seems that our sons struggles are getting worse
and worse this year. It has taken some toll on us as a family,
we have had our disagreements about how we go about
tending to the different issues we are having with our son.
I think we both have felt alot of confusion and anger, we both
have held alot of that inside. Our communication has not
been good.
Being of faith I have turned to our God in this time of struggle.
Reading this book of 101 unique devotionals has really affirmed
Gods unconditional love and wisdom. Its uplifting to know
there are other women out there going through the same
things and getting through it.
Chicken Soup for the Soul Devotional Stories for Wives
consists of scripture reading, chicken for the soul stories and custom written prayer.
I pray before I read each night, I open the book to a random
page, I have faith that the closest story is where God
wants my thoughts to be for that night.
I will keep reading the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, I find
the stories give me inspiration and strength, and a lot of
the stories from other real people are heart touching.
