ReplyDeleteWhen my mother was alive all our family gathered at her house for mother's day, since she has passed my children and grandchildren come to my house. We eat and enjoy just being together.

I usually get my Mom a box of See's Candies (which are awesome!) and I hand pick the chocolates for her because I know all of her favorites, and to avoid any with coconut because she can't stand coconut.

For the past few years, my oldest and middle daughter have taken me out to dinner for Mother's Day. My youngest lives too far away to come home for it,though.

ReplyDeleteI live in south Texas and every mothers day my wife and I would leave the boys home - grab a six pack and drive down to the Gulf of Mexico !We just sat on the beach drank a couple of beers and watch the sun set.

ReplyDeleteWe all go to church with my mom on Mother's Day and then we take her out for dinner and shower her with lots of love and family time. Means more to her than any materialistic item we could buy. But I usually do buy her some flowers, cause we both love flowers.
