We received the game Ship of Treasures
from Pressman Toy
for a review.
Ship of Treasures is an exciting game
of strategy. Players will hide treasure chests
and search for pirate booty.
This game was manufactured and designed with
high quality materials. The game board is a grid of
squares that looks like the top of a ship. Players
will move around this board looking under planks in
search of treasure chests.
Every player will get their own secret copy of the board
so that they can decide and record where they would like
to hide the treasures and traps, which are cannonballs.
These are also to keep notes of where themselves and
other players have already looked for treasures to make
the search a little easier.
On each players turn they will roll two dice. One
dice displays how far the player has to move and the
other dice sets the compass direction. Two sides of
the compass die are wild allowing players to have some choices
in their play. The game is a roll and move game through
some of the game. When a player lands on a space they can either
choose to open and see if anything is hidden beneath or draw a card.
The cards will be one time use cards that players will save and use as
needed. Some of the cards will allow players to move treasure they
have hidden, maybe placing the treasure somewhere previously searched.
This is a fun strategic game that would be an awesome addition to
any game collection. My kids have had a great time hiding their treasures
and giving search.

Wow! I was surprised this game was invented by kids and that is pretty cool. I loved the video and am going to check my Target for this game. Our family would love it because it is different!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a fun and entertaining game for kids!
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely a different type of board game that is intriguing at least to me. I'm sure most kids would love to play this--especially when they are told that a kid invented it!
ReplyDeleteMy son loves pirates and I think he would love this game! He is still probably a bit too young for it but I will keep it in mind for when he gets a bit older.

ReplyDeleteThis looks like a really fun game. My kids are a little too old for this now but I think I will still get one and donate it to my teacher friend. She can add this to her classroom game activity.
ReplyDeleteThis would be so much fun for the kiddos. Okay, you're right ... I want to play, too.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of a game I played as a kid. It was one of my favorites. Would love to share this with my nieces and nephew. I know they would find it so much fun.
