I have been sleeping in the Rudra and Kaveri Sleep set from Sudara and loving it. This sleeping set is so comfortable I don't want to get up in the morning.

The Rudra and Kaveri Sleep Set includes a matching button up, short sleeve top and pair of pull on shorts with contrasting ruffle border.

This sleep set is 100% cotton. The top is a button up with short sleeves. The set I received is black and grey. The bottoms have an elasticized waistband with a fabric drawstring trimmed with wooden beads.

The sleep set from Sudara is made using high quality materials, it is soft and comfortable. The set would make a great gift for birthdays, anniversaries, and Christmas. It is perfect for a meaningful gift.

This set was proudly made in India by women working to remain free from sex slavery. Every style is named in honor and celebration of a woman at one of the centers.

Sudara partnered with a sewing center in India and taught six women to sew a pattern for lounge wear that were lovingly called Punjammies in 2006.

Shannon Keith, the founder of Sudara returned from a trip to India and heard story after Story of women who are sold into sex slavery. She also heard stories of women who were at a high risk of being forced into the sex trade by their families or picked up off the streets by local pickups. The reasons they were at a high risk is because they lacked an education or the resources or the skills to truly have a choice. She returned home from that trip and formed a small team of friends and family. Together, they looked for groups in India that were compelled to back and help women looking for a way out of the red light districts. The team knew that safe, study living wage employment would be a pathway to freedom in offering choices for women and their families.

10 years have passed since they have first began. In that time they have made multiple Sewing Center Partnerships and with your support hundreds of women have found freedom through living wage employment. Many of the women have graduated from the training programs and started their own tailoring businesses, others have taken technology or cosmetology courses, also offered at some of the centers, and found great jobs in those fields.

Donations can also be made at that go towards SudaraFreedom Fund and these have helped fund safe housing for women escaping trafficking, equipment for new or growing sewing centers, microloans and back to school programs.
