Missing Monday: Baby Lisa Renee Irwin

Baby Lisa Renee Irwin disappeared from her crib in Kansas City, Missouri on October 4, 2011, during the early hours of the morning. She was the 10-month-old daughter of Jeremy Irwin and Debbie Bradley. She was born November 11, 2010.

Lisa was discovered missing by her father. Jeremy came home from work around 4:00 a.m. finding that the front door was unlocked and many lights in their home were on. He also noticed a window was open. When he woke Debbie to ask her where Lisa was, that he found her crib empty Debbie said she had no idea where Lisa was. She said Lisa had been in her crib when she checked on her either 6:40 p.m. or 10:40 p.m. According to police Debbie has changed her story a few times. Debbie states she had been with a friend that evening. They were on her front porch drinking.

On October 19, 2011 Irwin’s home was searched and cadaver dogs picked up a scent of a deceased body near the mother’s bed During an interview Lisa told reporters that detectives accused her of doing something to her daughter and that she had failed her polygraph test. Debbie maintains her innocence.

In May 2012, Jeremy and Debbie reported that their debit card had been fraudulently used on a website that provides fake birth certificates. The Today show and American Live both confirmed that this website did exist. Their attorney had also confirmed that someone visited the website.

In 2013 a child was discovered in a gypsy camp. The little girl looked similar to what Lisa would have looked like at her age. After a lot of DNA work sadly the child was found not to be Lisa Irwin.

Jeremy and Debbie still have hope that their daughter is out in the world alive. They still buy her gifts for her birthday and for Christmas.

I send up prayers that Baby Lisa comes home.

Until next time...
