Mionetto's Prestige Collection Excellent for Gift Giving or Anytime

We received a sample in exchange for a honest an unbiased review.

A couple of times a year our family gets together and someone always brings a good bottle or 3 of wine. We like to let down our hair, get comfortable and catch each other up. This year I brought Mionetto wine and it was complemented by many.

I had the opportunity to receive three bottles of wine from Mionetto's Prestige Collection. This is their most classic line, reflecting their connections with the history of the winery in the elegant presentation of the bottle. These bottles feature an oblique label design that has always been a characteristic of the winery. The slanting label with its elegant motif is repeated in the neck label and reflects the elegance of this range of wines.

Mionetto Prosecco DOC Treviso Brut from Veneto, Italy is a well-balanced acidity that provides a fresh, lively mouthfeel with a clean dry finish. The aroma of Golden apples honey and peach is wonderful. This wine has 11% alcohol. The appearance is light straw with bright yellow highlights.

The grapes which are harvested in the second half of September, are grown in the Veneto region of Italy, in an area near the Valdobbiadene DOCG area, and the sloping hills north of Treviso. The soil is alluvial with an import in the presence of clay.

This excellent taste is just wonderful all by itself or throughout a meal. It also makes for a great cocktail.

The Mionetto Prosecco DOC Organic Extra Dry is a sparkling Prosecco with persistent perlage. It merges delicate fragrances of acacia blossoms and a strong taste of golden apples oranges and pineapples. With 11% vol of alcohol this is an explosion of green apple on the palate with a refreshing Christmas from the delicate bubbles. The sweet aroma will hit your nose as delicate notes of elderflower and green apple.

The grapes for this wine are from a certified organic winery in the town of Vazzola in the hills of Treviso. The winery practices organic farming techniques growing the grapes with Austin thought it chemicals and fertilizers. The primary and secondary fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, the wine is vinified separately to ensure it’s purity.

The last but certainly not least wine I received made quite a big hit with everyone. The Mionetto Rose Extra Dry. This fruity intense fragrance with its hint of violet, raspberry, wild strawberry, and Morello Cherry is a refined sparkling extra dry rose. It’s well-balanced acidity with notes of strawberry and raspberry and a find persistent Perlage. This wine is a brilliant peach color.

This wine can be enjoyed all on its own. You can also enjoy it with fresh seafood grilled fish or appetizers.

Francesco Mionetto, Master winemaker opened the winery in Valdobbiadene in 1887 right in the heart of the Prosecco area, just north of Venice. His passion and love for this region and its wines are still to this day a fundamental value for the unique winery. He has become a flagship for that area and a shining example of Prosecco product on the international scene.

From the beginning, Mionetto has always been an innovative and modern winery able to anticipate trends while maintaining at the same time a strong bond with the traditions of its homeland, a feature that still exists today sets it apart from other sparkling wine producers.

These wines were complimented so many times throughout our family's get together. I appreciate this set of wine was not harsh on the taste buds. I also think you are getting high-quality wines for a great price.
